Now that you are over 18 and not eligible for youth lacrosse anymore, where will you continue to play? The answer is Organized Men’s Tournaments. These tournaments up the level of competition significantly and are great for developing your game, building new friendships, and to continue competing.
For Graduated High School Seniors: These tournaments provide you an opportunity to play during your transition year to college. You will see a high level of play that will better prepare you for the next step of playing College Lacrosse.
Current College Players: Off season play will keep your skills sharp and elevate your game to the next level when you go back to school. It is a great chance to be exposed to teams and players you’d ordinarily not play with or against during your college season.
Post College Players: If you miss the high level of competition and camaraderie the college game provided then this is your opportunity to continue playing. If you want to continue playing the game with purpose this is the outlet you need.
Men’s Tourney Disclaimer: Please be aware this is a MEN’S tournament and not a youth or high school event. You will be playing with and against ADULTS. The game is bigger, faster and stronger at this level. You will see high level D-1, D-2 and D-3 current and graduated players. Although the spirit of the game is fun these games do get very competitive.
Also be aware that because it is a MEN’S tournament, there will be people over the age of 21 there and a different sideline culture. It is up to the individual over 18 years of age to make smart and rational decisions while at these tournaments on and off the field.
These are not coached teams. NE will provide a roster, register players, provide tent, oversee schedule and hand out pinnies. At this point in a player’s development they should be able to take the field and govern their own behavior. Rosters will be designed to allow players to split time evenly.
Players are responsible for their own lodging. For younger players it is not uncommon for parents and family to accompany them.
We hope to see players step up to the challenge and make their mark in the Men’s game. These tournaments are a great deal of fun and will create memories you will never forget.
