Keith Bertrand
Keith grew up in Nashua, NH where he was a member of the inaugural Nashua
Blast team in 1993. At Nashua High he played lacrosse, ran cross country and
track. Keith was a two time USA Track and Field All-American during his high
school career.
Keith returned to the Nashua Blast where he coached at the U15 level
from 2000-2003 winning the State Championship in '02 and '03. In
2005 he became the goalie coach at Saint Anselm College working
under his mentor Gerry Byrne for 3 seasons. In 2010 Keith became
Head Coach at Nashua North High School. In 2011 Nashua North enjoyed
their best season in school history and Keith was voted as NHIAA
Division 1 Co-Coach of the Year and The Nashua Telegraph Coach of
the Year
Co-Director
Bill Cosentino
Bill is a sixth grade teacher in
Concord,
New Hampshire. He grew up playing
lacrosse in
Levittown, NY where he earned All-Conference honors as a
senior. He went to play
at
PlymouthState
University
and was a four year starter on Defense. After graduating
from Plymouth, Bill became
the varsity assistant coach at
ConcordHigh School in Concord, NH.
During his four year stint there, Bill was also an elite
coach for Indoor Action Sports in
Greenfield,
MA. In 2007 Bill earned the
Assistant Coach of the Year award from the New Hampshire
Interscholastic Athletic Association and from US Lacrosse.
In 2010 Bill became the head coach at Merrimack High School
in Merrimack, NH where he helped lead the team to their
first overall winning season since 2001 (10-6).
Besides coaching Bill played two seasons with the
American Lacrosse League’s Bay State Lacrosse Club. In 2007
he created and organized the Warpigs Lacrosse Club who now
compete in the ALL during the spring. Bill is committed to
working with the youth around the state of
New Hampshire in order to not only
develop lacrosse skills, but life skills.
Coach
Jeff Smith
A
goalie by trade, Jeff Smith played his high school and
college lacrosse in upstate NY. A product of Bethlehem
Central High School out of section 2 NY, Jeff went on to
play college lacrosse at SUNY Potsdam in the competitive
SUNYAC conference. Following his college career Jeff has
continued to play competitive lacrosse in NY, NC, ME and
NH. Along with playing the game he is also the head J.V.
coach and Varsity assistant coach at Concord High School in
New Hampshire. Currently, Jeff is entering his 4th American
Lacrosse League (ALL) season with theWarpigs
Lacrosse Club.
Program
Consultant Matt Griffin
Matt is a police officer and school
resource officer at KeeneHigh School in Keene, NH. He
grew up playing lacrosse in
New Jersey where he was a four time
All-State selection as an attackman. He was also a
pre-season All-American entering his senior year. After High
School, Matt joined the Navy. During his time in the Navy,
Matt played for the All Navy West Coast Team, where he was a
captain for two years and was an ambassador of the sport.
After moving back to the east coast, Matt worked for the
Virginia Beach police department before moving to
Keene,
NH.
In 2010 Matt inherited the head coaching
job at KeeneHigh School. Matt led the
Blackbirds to their first winning season in nine years and
their first playoff appearance. Matt is determined to help
make lacrosse larger in the state of New Hampshire. Coach
Griffin is also the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
head lacrosse clinician for New England
camps.
Program
Consultant Eric Gobiel
Eric is a high school special education teacher in
Stoneham,
Massachusetts. He grew up playing
lacrosse in
Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Eric was the first MVP and
All-Conference player from
ChelmsfordHigh School in 2000 and went on to have a solid four
year career at
PlymouthState
University. At
Plymouth he was a three year starter
at the midfield and two time captain. As a senior he won the
prestigious PSU Panther Award. After
Plymouth, he moved to
California
where he became the Head Coach of San Dieguito Academy. At
SDA he had a very successful campaign in 2006 in the up and
coming Costal conference in San Diego. After that
season, Eric moved back to
Massachusetts where he became the head coach of
WakefieldHigh School in 2007.At Wakefield,
Coach Gobiel won coach of the year for Middlesex League in
2007, and has coached many players that have been recognized
as all conference players.
Besides coaching, Eric played one season with the Bay
State Lacrosse Club of the ALL before helping to co-create
the Warpigs Lacrosse Club also of the ALL. Aside from being
the head coach at WHS, Eric is also an elite coach for
Full-Tilt Lacrosse during the high school off season.
